HabitVault ("the app") is a habit-tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information. The short version: the app collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere.
None. HabitVault does not collect, transmit, or share any personal or usage data. The app has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no analytics.
All data you create — your habits, daily check-ins, streaks, settings — is stored on your device, in the app's local database. The app itself never uploads it anywhere: we have no servers, and we cannot see your data.
One thing is worth stating plainly: the app takes part in Android's standard backup, like most apps do. If you have backup switched on in your Android settings, the system may copy the app's data to your own Google Drive. That copy belongs to your Google account, not to us, and we have no way to see it. You can stop it in your device's backup settings.
The app works fully offline and does not request the Internet permission. It contains no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no third-party analytics SDKs.
The app requests three Android permissions. None of them collect or transmit anything — they only let features work on your own device.
VIBRATE — haptic feedback when you interact with the
interface.POST_NOTIFICATIONS — shows the optional reminder about
habits you have not checked off yet. Reminders are switched off by default,
you choose the time, and the notification text is composed and displayed
entirely on your device.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — lets the app put your reminder
back in place after the device restarts or the app updates. Android clears
scheduled alarms in both cases, so without this the reminder would quietly
stop arriving. Nothing else happens in the background.No other permissions are requested. The app does not request Internet access.
You can export your data to a JSON file and import it back. This happens only when you choose to do so. Exported files are handled by your device's own sharing and file system — the app does not send them anywhere on its own.
The app is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no data, it collects no data from children either.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same URL with a new "Last updated" date.
